LT McGuinness is committed to protecting the environment and reducing waste in construction.

We are a New Zealand Green Building Council member and our sustainability systems can be tailored to suit the client’s aims.

Projects such as the Government House project feature full sustainability plans. Our environmental footprint is minimised by putting in place seven principles of sustainable construction

  1. reduce resource consumption
  2. reuse resources
  3. recycle demolition waste
  4. use recyclable resources
  5. protect nature
  6. eliminate toxics
  7. apply life-cycle costing.

Working with our waste disposal contractor, LT McGuinness has a full recycling scheme to sort and recycle wastes off our sites. We can also provide best practice advice on selecting materials and minimising waste.
