Attie is our HSE officer and wellbeing representative in Palmerston North. He has a respectful HSE approach and takes care to ensure people understand why HSE expectations exist rather than arbitrarily enforcing rules. Attie’s early career was in human resource management, with such firms as Bidfood Wellington and Z Energy. He has been in HSE now for more than eight years and is very committed to the safety of others and ensuring everyone gets safely home to their families. Attie’s gentle, thoughtful nature and the fact he does what he says he’ll do means he’s well respected, and he has good support from his local management team and good buy-in from site teams.
