Brian has had a strategic and business leadership role in LTM for almost 50 years. In the early days he had to quickly master financial, legal and negotiating skills as the small company expanded and took on ever more challenging projects. Brian’s emphasis on the core traditional values in our firm’s history has been mirrored by his interest and expertise in heritage projects. In the 2012 New Year honours, Brian was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the building industry, an award he attributed to the quality of LTM’s conservation work. When the Historic Places Trust Board was seeking a person with a sensitivity to heritage issues tempered by practical experience, Brian was invited to be a trustee. He’s also been on the Friends of Futuna Charitable Trust, is chair of the Board of Proprietors at St Pat’s Silverstream and a life member of the Marist St Pat’s rugby club. Brian still has a strategic and advisory role at LTM and a range of heritage and charitable projects benefit from his business acumen and sound judgement.
