Hanna spent a decade in the retail sector working her way up to area manager, before deciding it was time for a career change. She retrained by completing an architectural technician’s course at Weltec and landed the first job she applied for—as a BIM technician cadet for LT McGuinness on the Heke Rua Archives project. The role presented a steep learning curve, on one of the firm’s busiest and most complex projects with a high BIM requirement. Hanna embraced the challenge, treating it like an extension of her studies. Her calm demeanour and ability to engage with clients and consultants soon saw her a key member of the BIM team. Outside of work, Hanna enjoys both hitting the gym and gardening. She is passionate about BIM and the design management process, and is now involved in other major LTM projects including Te Matapihi and 61 Molesworth Street.
