Jacob Monk-Taingahue

Project Site Manager

14 years with LT McGuinness
Year started: 2010

Jacob started as an apprentice with us and, after completing his carpentry qualification, he progressed into site manager then project manager roles. Jacob has led projects that typically include a seismic structural element with a high degree of technical difficulty. His ‘can do’ approach and ability to get the best out of people has seen him complete all his projects on time to a high standard—these have included seismic upgrades at the Exchange Building and 56 The Terrace carpark, the Defence House shear walls, the Pastoral House entry pavilion, and the Dunbar Sloane Building upgrade and refurbishment. Once Jacob has closed out 1 Bowen Street, a challenging 20-level seismic structural upgrade and refurbishment, he will move on to lead the strengthening and refurbishment of Te Matapihi, Wellington’s central library.
