Sean began his long experience in construction as a carpenter. He later gained a Construction Management degree from Massey University and today he is an LTM director. His construction manager role involves project procurement, ECI inputs, resourcing , project methodological inputs, health and safety and QA overview. Sean’s also had a project director role on a number of major LTM projects such as the Aurora House redevelopment on The Terrace and the four buildings on the Bowen campus. One of his biggest construction challenges was management of the undersea basement on the Clyde Quay Wharf development. This unique project required major innovation to deliver a 200m-long basement suspended under a wharf and half submerged in Wellington Harbour. For his efforts Sean won a NZIOB national award. He has a strong commitment to training and for over a decade he’s overseen our apprenticeship programme. That’s included the establishment of our training school and pre-apprenticeship programme. Sean currently sits on the national advisory board of the BCITO.
